Part-time Positions

Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator plays a key role in overseeing and managing the volunteer program at Naperville Area Humane Society. This position is responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers who assist in providing care for animals, promoting adoptions, and furthering the mission of the organization. The coordinator will work closely with the management team to ensure volunteers are effectively engaged and supported in their roles, while maintaining a positive and productive environment for both volunteers and animals.

Humane Education Intern

Looking to make an impact in the lives of kids and animals? As a Humane Education Intern you will be teaching students, shaping attitudes and forming the difference-makers of tomorrow. The Naperville Area Humane Society’s Humane Education program educates children and teaches empathy to the next generation of animal advocates. Volunteer Positions

Volunteer Ambassador

As a NAHS Volunteer Ambassador, you will inspire others to support NAHS by educating the public on what we do, our programs, and the animals in our care. You will also help raise awareness of the organization by attending events, providing shelter tours, and encouraging others to get involved in fundraising activities. Saturdays & Sundays: 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

*Please note that we stop animal interactions 15 minutes prior to close

We are closed to the public on: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.
