HUMANE EDUCATION PROGRAM

The Naperville Area Humane Society (NAHS) offers ongoing educational opportunities for children.  We offer a wide variety of classes and workshops about pet care, advocacy, and animal welfare to expand our community of caring. Program lengths and times vary depending on the class.

The Naperville Area Humane Society (NAHS) Junior Board is responsible for organizing and implementing various fundraisers that will generate social awareness and financial support for the homeless dogs and cats of NAHS. Your birthday is the perfect occasion to give back, and what better way to do that than by supporting the animals at our shelter? When you celebrate with us, you’re not just throwing a party—you’re providing love, attention, and a chance at a better future for our furry friends.

What You Can Expect

When you host a birthday party with us, we’ll provide a safe, fun, and educational experience for you and your guests. Here’s what you can look forward to:

  • A guided tour of the shelter

  • A chance to interact with adoptable pets

  • Enrichment activities such as toy and/or treat making for our animals 

  • A chance to make a real difference by contributing to the shelter's needs through donations.

 

Make a Difference: Encourage your friends and family to bring donations like pet food, toys, and supplies to support our work. You’ll be helping us continue to care for animals in need. Find a copy of our wish list here

Birthday parties take place on Saturdays between 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 

*Due to high demand, availability is limited.

Tuesdays — Fridays: 1:00 to 6:00 p.m.

Saturdays & Sundays: 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.

*Please note that we stop animal interactions 15 minutes prior to close

We are closed to the public on: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve.
