Summer Camp

Join the Naperville Area Humane Society (NAHS) for summer camp! Camp gives children the opportunity to learn about animal sheltering, behavior and more!

In addition to daily themed lessons and interactions with our shelter animals, NAHS’s Summer Camp Program provides children with opportunities to meet special guests (human and animal alike!), make new friends and enjoy their summer in a fun and unique way! Our Summer Camp program is offered in weekly sessions by age.

2025 SUMMER CAMPS

Art with Animals Mini Camp (4-5 years old) $175

 

Calling little animal lovers from ages 4-5! Join our mini camp for arts and crafts, story time, fun outdoors, special guests and interactions with our shelter animals!

 

Session 1: 5/28-29 from 9am - 12pm

Friends for Life Camp (6-8 years old) $300

 

Friends 6 to 8 years old can come join our Friends for Life Summer Camp, where they’ll enjoy fun crafts, outdoor games, important lessons on animals and pets, special guest visits and hands on activities to teach each camper how be “friends for life” with their pets and other animals!

 

Session 1: 6/2-6/5 from 9am - 12pm

 

Session 2: 7/14-7/17 from 9am - 12pm

Animal Neighbors Camp (9-11 years old) $300

 

Campers 9 to 11 years old! Come join our Animals Neighbors Summer Camp, where you’ll enjoy fun crafts, outdoor games, important lessons on animals and pets, special guest visits and hands on activities. Our lessons and activities are all geared towards teaching you to be the best animal neighbor you can be, to our pets and towards our wild neighbors!

 

Session 1: 6/9-6/12 from 9am - 12pm

 

Session 2: 7/21-7/24 from 9am - 12pm

Active Animals Camp (11-13 years old) $300

 

Calling our animal loving 11 to 13 year olds! Come join our Active Animals Summer Camp, where you’ll enjoy fun crafts, outdoor games, important lessons on animals and pets, special guest visits and hands on activities. Our lessons and activities are focused on the importance of keeping our furry friends active, as well as featuring some of the amazing sports and activities our dogs and cats at the shelter participate in to stay healthy!

 

Session 1: 6/16-6/19 from 9am - 12pm

 

Session 2: 8/4-8/7 from 9am - 12pm

PAWsome Manners Camp (12-14 years old) $300

 

An animal training camp for kids? Yes! Come join our PAWsome Manners camp for ages 12-14, to learn all about Positive Reinforcement Training, how we train our dogs and cats here at NAHS, the importance of training at home and more! Taught by a Professional Animal Trainer, this camp allows campers an opportunity to learn hands on and practice their new skills by training some of our shelter dogs and cats!

 

Session 1: 6/23-6/26 from 9am - 12pm

 

Session 2: 7/28-7/31 from 9am - 12pm

Veterinary and Animal Careers Camp (12-15 years old) $350

 

Calling all animal lovers 12 to 15 years old who dream of working with animals some day! Whether your child has a dream of becoming a Shelter or Rescue Worker, a Veterinarian, a Vet Technician or Nurse, a Dog Trainer, a Groomer, or Animal Control Officer, they will learn with hands on experience! Our campers work alongside staff and volunteers to practice caring for our shelter animals, through cleaning, enrichment and socializing. Throughout the week, campers will be introduced to the many animal careers available, and learn meaningful lessons about animal sheltering, animal husbandry, animal welfare, medical care, safety, adoptions versus breeding and the impact a community can have on animals! ** Please note, all Careers Camp campers will participate in cleaning and caring for our shelter animals.

 

Session 1: 7/7-7/10 from 9am - 12pm

Policies, dates and operations are subject to change, we apologize for any inconvenience. Please note, there is $25 cancellation fee applied for any cancellations 30+ days prior to a summer camp date. No refunds will be given within 30 days of the summer camp start date.
