Chuy — ON HOLD
Meet Chuy!
This sweet little guy was transferred to Naperville Area Humane Society back in November of 2019 and adopted out in April of 2020. You may be wondering how he made it back to us…
Already being a senior when adopted out, Chuy was returned to us at 11 years old after his owner unexpectedly passed away. Now, he is desperately in search of a new home—one where he can receive the love and care he deserves for the rest of his life.
Although the transition has been challenging, Chuy has been a trooper. He is adjusting to his new surroundings with bravery, all while staying cuddly and curious. This little guy with the biggest ears loves snuggling up in a soft, fluffy bed, especially if it’s paired with a cozy sweater to keep him warm.
While he’s still spry for his age, Chuy would do best in a quiet home with no other pets. Due to his age, his vision and hearing have been slightly diminished, and he is currently being treated for symptoms of congestive heart failure following a thorough vet exam. Given these factors, Chuy would thrive the most in a calm, intimate environment where he can enjoy peace and comfort to mend his broken heart.
This little chu-chu train is ready to leave the NAHS station and looking for you to be his number one conductor. If you have a soft spot for senior pets, Chuy might just be the perfect fit for you. Thanks to the Lucky 7 Fund, his adoption fee is waived, making it easier for you to open your heart and home to this special guy who needs the love he once had.
