After School Program
Available to children ages 8-11, the After School with Animals Program offers several 5-week sessions during which children have a hands-on opportunity to work with shelter animals. Through lessons, activities, and interactions with dogs and cats, children learn about animal care and well-being. Please note: This program is not appropriate for children with fear or anxiety toward animals.
INFORMATION
Designed for children ages 8-11
Classes meet on Mondays at NAHS from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. for five weeks
Registration fee is $75 per student except for the short session which is $50. A $10 fee will apply for any cancellations.
Policies and dates are subject to change. Please note: the class will be canceled if we do not have at least three kids sign up.
Dates FOR 2024-2025
Session 1: 8/26, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 9/30 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Session 2: 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, 11/4 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Session 3: 11/11, 11/18, 12/2, 12/9, 12/16 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
